Adding Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail Email Accounts

6.7.2013 Fabian Rendon

There are built in settings in your iPad for access to Gmail and Yahoo, where it is made easier to sync and read emails. From the settings screen, select Mail, Contacts, Calendar then Add Account, select your account provider and enter your name and then your password. Hotmail isn’t set by default, I still don’t know why this is so, but it’s easy to add so not to worry.

Choose Other in the accounts section and then select “Add Mail Account”. Although there aren’t any complicated settings or server addresses to muck about with, you’ll need to fill in the same details.

When you type in your username and password correctly, all you have to do now is to click save on the next screen and that’s it!

Syncing Your Google Calendar and Contacts:

Syncing you Google account with your iPad calendar and contact data is a little difficult, but not futile.

You just need to follow these steps:

- From Settings, select -> Mail, Contacts, Calendar -> Add Account -> Microsoft Exchange

- Type in your full Google email address for email (with the @gmail.com suffix), as well as the same again for username.

- Leave the domain field blank, and fill in your password.

- Press Next. A box labeled Server will magically appear.

- Enter m.google.com

- Select the services you want to sync and that’s that!
